During our time in Italy, we came to realize that it was the olive oil that truly made every Italian dish remarkable. We visited a few frantoios where local families pressed olives from their own groves to make the most incredible olive oils. After sampling a few different products, we landed on Sogno Toscano 1923 EVOO because it is 100% Italian olive oil, harvested, pressed and packaged in Italy from Italian olive groves! Many olive oils sold in the US are cut with seed oils, which they are not required to disclose. We wanted to ensure that our olive oil was 100% Italian olives and nothing else!
The flavor of this olive oil has a subtly spicy finish. While in Italy, we learned that the spicy taste at the end is actually due to the polyphenols that are intact, thanks to the purity of the olive oil and the cold-pressed system. The polyphenols in olive oil give it its remarkable antioxidant properties.

Sizing Notes And How We Use It
Tin containers are one of the best options for reducing the oxidation of olive oil, allowing the olive oil to last longer and preventing it from going rancid. We wanted to minimize plastic exposure, and tinted glass seemed more susceptible to breaking, so from our research, this seemed like the best option.
Our family usually goes through a 3L can in about 6 weeks, but we use it for everything: soups, sauces, salad dressings, on roasted veggies or drizzled on popcorn etc! (Olive oil has a lower smoke point, so we will typically use avocado oil to pop the popcorn kernels, and then flavor it with the olive oil afterwards).
